On Day 4 of the journey, we will cross the Date-line and visit some duty-free shops. During this busy day on the itinerary we will provide Padkos (proudly South African term for snacks and drinks). Here follows as list of all the attractions we'll visit on Day 4:
1. HIV/AIDS Awareness:
We consider HIV/AIDS awareness a very important part of transformation in the community. At Vastfontein we therefore provide as many as possible possibilities for awareness to be created. Our School of Church Planting curriculum includes a 1 week awareness program during which future leaders are equipped and trained in order to train the people they will influence in future.
2. Youth Adventure Camps:
Our annual youth adventure camp is a leadership development camp that usually takes place over a weekend in the October school holidays. We invite future leaders from Vastfontein and Maubane Youth (ages 16 to 22 years) to this life-transforming camp. It is the highlight in every young adult's diary each year.
3. Youth Sport Days:
Vastfontein hosts three to four Sport day events each year. Children from surrounding communities and various backgrounds join on this day of Soccer and Netball. And no Sport Day will ever be complete without a lovely snack and motivational talk and spiritual padkos for their live's journeys. By doing so, each child goes home nourished in spirit and body.
4. Kids Games:
Kids Games is a memorable experience in which education, sport, morals and play are inter-linked. Based on the Olympic Games, Kids Games, hosted by Vastfontein, consists of many teams and events. The program is designed in such a way that the children learn valuable lessons in each event. Little by little, brilliant minds and hearts are transformed.
